Say hello to our new website

OUR FIRST HELLO…

We’re a bit new to this blogging stuff, but figured we’d give it a go! For those of you who are interested maybe this will become a new exiting platform to share our fun ideas and positive vibes about the weddings and event world on the beautiful Island and further afield!
Firstly, we are so in love with our new clean cut sparkly fresh website (thanks Nathan Russel), and feel it is much easier to navigate and hope you agree but would love your feedback, as always it’s a work in progress. Make sure you check out our recommended vendors section as well as our “made with love” bespoke service. Our new hire catalogue will be available online soon, making the process of choosing your wedding décor and creating your wedding vibe a lot easier and stress free- in the meantime, drop us a message and we can send the whole itemised catalogue over to you.
Since starting Proper Vintage 3 years ago a lot has changed, and we have come along way. Carrie has recently completed her wedding planner diploma-that’s right a certificate and everything! So, to go along with the years of event experience she already has under her belt, she can now officially say she is a fully-fledged wedding planner, with highlighters, sticky notes and everything! Your own personal Monica from Friends, to keep you on track, in budget and most importantly stress free and calm. 
Over the past year we’ve also been busy creating new events such as The Alternative Wedding Show, making a conscious effort to support local businesses both well established as well as fresh and new. Trying to make everyone’s experience a bit more interactive and enjoyable for both vendors and newly engaged couples looking for ideas and advice as well as a spot of networking-I think the bar serving booze strongly helped with this! Look out for more showcases and events coming soon!

During 2019 we were asked to style and organise a lot of bridal photoshoots, this has become a big passion of ours. The Isle of Wight has so many talented suppliers and photographers that deserve to be shown off and we love any opportunity to bring them all together and have a bit of fun away from the usual wedding planning. Its a chance for us all to let our creativity flow and show some different elements that we have under our belts! If you’re a local business that would like help with organising a photoshoot or need some new inspiration or fresh images for your website then get in touch, we always like to be involved in new challenges!
Our hire catalogue of items has really grown over the past year, keeping up with current trends and looking ahead to future seasons is really important to us, as well as having everything needed to create your dream wedding and make your Pinterest and Instagram come to life. We have some really quirky and interesting items available to hire-one of our new favs is The Booze Bath - check it out!
Keeping on the more relaxed wedding vibe, don’t forget we recently purchased our beautiful bell tents, we are so in love with them. They’ve just returned from being washed and re-waterproofed and are ready to hire for the 2020 season.  The 7m one can hold up to 30 adults standing or 10 sleeping on single airbeds. We can provide everything needed for a glamping experience, kids sleepover party or honeymoon suite! Why not use a bell tent as a chill out bar, kids club or even a silent disco - so many possibilities! Contact us for more info on these.
The past 3 years have been great for us, we are so thankful to be following our dream of creating an events family business as well as making your dreams a reality for your big day. We have met some fantastic new friends over 2019 such as new venues to work closely with and made our already existing relationships with suppliers even stronger. Thanks to everyone who has liked us, followed us and supported us so far… lets see what the 2020 season has in store!
